Day 1

I won't normally post every day, but so much happened today that I feel it deserves it's own post. In the morning we went outside for a little walk around the area for some exercise. We found a place that had fried pork over rice.

We needed to burn off the extra calories and lucky for us there was a 24 hour fitness across the streets and it had all the needed amenities.
elliptical.....

core workout...

spinning wheel wrist exercise...

and most important and swinging machine...ok I honestly have no idea what this is for, but it was kinda fun.

Unfortunately we didn't see the park rules until later; otherwise we would not have done what we did. I think we did everything wrong on number 3, all though I don't know how to define "other evils" so maybe we kept that one and maybe not.

However, while all of this was amusing, nothing beat watching Vietnamese learn the cha-cha to "Last Christmas"

We then took a full day tour to see the Cao Dai temple and Cu Chi tunnels.
Here is the temple. The religion is like a mix of Catholicism, Buddhism, Daoism, and something about worshiping Victor Hugo, not really sure.

Next was the Cu Chi tunnels. These were the tunnels that the Vietnamese used against the Americans in the War. Pretty crazy stuff. enjoy the pics.
Super tiny holes they would hide in

Bamboo Trap

Victors! First ones out of the 100m tunnel! ok we were also the first ones in
